A message from the 545 Board of Officers
Brothers and Sisters of Moose 545, In addressing the membership for the first time as a board, we wish to thank the outgoing Board Members for their volunteered service and continued support. We wish to recognize them for keeping this lodge moving forward, sometimes with very little support, and for some of them, many years of service.
Thank you to all the regular volunteers who have maintained the lodge physically and supported the lodge in its daily activities. Without all of you, this lodge would not function. We look forward to your continued dedication and are here to support you as needed. We are excited that our fellow members have honored us with representing this lodge and its membership as the Board of Officers for the next year.
We as a board, have ideas for new and exciting activities that we hope will help elevate the vibrancy and increase fellowship opportunities at the lodge. Here are a few ideas, how about: Taco Tuesday, Wine-down Wednesday, Dart League, Bingo, Chili and Chowder Cook-offs, Car Show, Motorcycle Rides, Golf Group, RV Group.
As a board, we promise to volunteer our time to address the day to day business of the lodge, but as members, we need you to volunteer. How about being a committee member willing to help with the planning and implementation of a new activity? Do you have an idea for an event? Let us help you put together a committee to get it going. It all hinges on all of us as volunteers. If you’re a new member there is no better way to become more connected and enjoy the satisfaction of service, to meet and fellowship with other members, than to volunteer. Let us help you. Talk to one of the board members for assistance.
To all of our members, we need you to recommit to our lodge by participating. You don’t have to put on a complete dinner to volunteer, but can you serve potatoes? How about supporting our breakfasts, burger nights and dinners on a more regular basis? Come into the Social Quarters to fellowship with your brothers and sisters. Invite friends to the meals and activities. Renew your membership dues. Sponsor a friend or family member. Volunteer for a committee.
We have a great lodge and a great membership. We know that there are some big hurdles that we need to address, but with all of us working together to increase support for existing and new activities, as well as each other, we can prevail.
We see a bright future for the 545 and are excited to help in any way to share that future with you and our community. With friendship and appreciation,
